Orthopedic trauma surgery involves the treatment of fractures, joint dislocations, and soft tissue injuries around bones and joints.
When is it considered?
Emergency or elective treatment may be required for fractures and dislocations resulting from a fall, traffic accident, sports injury, or any other impact. While some fractures heal with a cast or brace, others require surgical fixation.
Treatment Approach
First, the type of fracture, displacement, and the patient’s overall condition are assessed. Non-surgical methods can be preferred for stable and non-displaced fractures. For displaced, intra-articular, or unstable fractures, surgical methods such as plates, screws, pins, or external fixation may be used.
About the Process
Early mobility and physical therapy after treatment can improve healing. We regularly monitor fracture healing through follow-up appointments.
You can schedule an examination appointment for post-trauma evaluation and a treatment plan.
