Prof. Dr. Melih Güven - About Me

Dr. Melih Güven was born in Denizli in 1975. After completing his primary and secondary education in İzmir, including his studies at Bornova Anatolian High School, he attended Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, where he received his medical degree between 1992 and 1998. He subsequently completed his residency training in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the 2nd Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Istanbul Göztepe Training and Research Hospital, between 1999 and 2004.
In 2010, Dr. Güven was appointed Associate Professor at Abant İzzet Baysal University Faculty of Medicine, and in 2016 he was promoted to the rank of Professor at Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine.
To date, Dr. Melih Güven has authored a total of 82 scientific articles, including 63 publications in international journals and 19 publications in national journals. He has also presented 26 scientific papers at international meetings and 60 papers at national scientific meetings. His scientific publications have received a total of 1,387 citations.
In addition to his journal publications, Dr. Güven has served as the editor of one book, authored seven book chapters, and translated six book chapters. He has also been invited as a speaker on 28 occasions at national and international scientific meetings.
Dr. Güven obtained the Turkish Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (TOTEK) Certification in 2004 and was awarded the Fellowship of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT) in 2008.
Throughout his academic career, he has received eight national scientific publication awards and holds one internationally patented product.
